By shutting down 3G, nothing 3G works anymore, whether that is an electric car or anything else - it is to do with the band which transmits the 3G signal and without that, everything becomes metal and plastic junk, which is good for nothing.
I don't think I have anything 3G - everything is 4G or 5G with word that 6G is coming soon, meaning that an even faster band signal will allow driverless cars, trucks and aircraft to fly and much faster communication between AI and computers will make things happen quicker - how that is going to affect me, fuck only knows.
But my post was for Australia - not America and there is a big difference between the two including being about 26,000 miles away from each other, whatever that is in km, absolutley no idea. So if you don't live in Australia (do any of us) then whatever they do in Australia won't affect you in America - we flush our toilets here and it rains in Australia, that's why the Aussies call it "Down Under".
The 5g they want everyone on. Game set match
Agreed. 6G will be the next upgrade.
I had several devices lose functionality when the US shut down the 3g networks. same with 2g a while earlier, actually.
