Styes in your Eyelids: Styes are caused when the glands whch supply water and then oil to the outside of your eyeball, to keep it wet and fluid blockup from microscopic dust in the air.
These particles of dust get into one of the ducts, causing a blockage, which then becomes infected, causing the inside of your eyelid to swell with puss, generated by the infection and you look quite horrible.
You know when you are getting one, because it feels like electric shocks through your eyelid.
The approved method is to let the infection evolve into an internal or external boil, which is then lanced and scraped and then a cotton pad put over the infected lid, for it to drain puss into - a most unpleasant experience. Been there, done that. I'll miss the finer details, you really don't need to know what they are.
Cure: Buy some cotton buds, these are nylon or paper sticks, which are covered with a cotton bud, wrapped on, at each end and you will need some shampoo, it does not matter which brand and a cup of water.
Method: Put one droplet of shampoo (no more) into the cup of water and mix well, then put a cotton bud end in the mixture, open your infected eyelid with your spare hand and place the cotton bud on the lower eyelid, alongside your eye and wipe from your nose to your ear, several times. Do this for a few days if necessary - simple.
The shampoo wetted cotton bud removes the blockage in your tear or oil ducts, releasing the infection, to clear itself from your eyelid naturally, simply by wiping the cotton bud over the blockage, to loosen it and remove it.
I have found, in the past, that doing the above technique every morning, at the same time as my morning wash, the shampoo goes around the eyeball and cleans out any muck accumulated in the back of the eyeball and can help manage, or stop macular degeneration, which I now have in my left eyeball, the only cure for that an operation, where a needle is injected into the middle of the eyeball with a numbing agent, before some sort of scalpel operation rectifies the macular degeneration - no thanks, not for the time being, at least.
Must motivate myself, to do my above simple cure instead and see how we go with that.
As my synositis has not cleared up with the salt water method i will try this shanpoo method, will let you know
