Your mistake is right at the beginning.

Nothing was found.

"It" was assembled and aligned. The template used for this was a computer model. Templates from other assemblies and alignments.

What do you expect to find when you search for what you have previously created yourself in the computer? Who is surprised if you then find rough "matches"?

"Mutations and variants" are merely the result of failing to artificially create identical assemblies.

The construction kit is always the same. A crude, chaotic mixture of cell debris with no known origin, arranged into something with the imagination of people who, in their tunnel thinking, can only produce results that have been predetermined.

No object was ever found. Something fictitious was constructed according to the ideas of virology in order to fulfill expectations.
